Organic Impermanence

“Change is a fact of life that we have to come to terms with on a daily basis.
It can be a beautiful reminder of what it means to exist.”

Nerities Artwork by Illyra Frankie Hsu

My art seeks to capture the fleeting beauty of life, the essence of which is found in the ever-shifting patterns of nature. Inspired by the delicate balance between order and chaos, I create works that celebrate the transience of our existence and the profound connection we share with the natural world.

My ink drawings are an intuitive expression of this connection. The brevity of the medium allows me to work quickly and instinctively, bypassing the rational mind and tapping into the fluidity of the present moment. With each stroke and wash, I am reminded of the impermanence of all things, and the importance of embracing the ever-changing nature of life.

PROCESS

Through a process of layering and blending, I create delicate compositions that evoke the ebb and flow of the natural world. Each stroke and mark represents a moment in time, a glimpse of the organic abstractions that surround us. The textures and patterns that emerge from the interplay of colors and forms are a reflection of the intricate dance between order and chaos that defines life itself.

In this series, I explore the myriad hues of nature, from the vibrant blues of the ocean to the deep greens of the forest, the earthy reds of the soil to the flashes of gold that light up the sky. These colors blend and shift, creating an ethereal atmosphere that carries within it a sense of mystery and wonder.

My art is a celebration of the impermanence of life, a testament to the beauty that emerges from the constant flux of the natural world. Through my work, I seek to capture the essence of this fleeting moment, to create a visual reminder of the profound connection we share with the world around us.
